📢 Call to Artists – Visual Music Art Show🎨
Art Etc. is now accepting submissions for Visual Music, our next themed exhibition exploring the powerful intersection of art and sound. Artists are invited to create works inspired by music, musicians, rhythm, movement, energy, and the emotional “vibes” music evokes.
Chico Art Etc.
We welcome all 2D mediums, and 3D work may also be submitted, space permitting.
Important Dates
Visual Music has been rescheduled for March.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, February 25, 2025
Opening Reception: March 7th, 2026
Exhibition Dates: March 7th to May 7th
Submission Guidelines
- Number of submissions: Up to 3 pieces per artist
- Deadline: All materials must be submitted by February 25th
- Submission method: Email all materials to kevin@chicoartetc.com
- For each artwork, include:
- Title
- Medium
- Size (height × width, and depth for 3D work)
- Price
- Display method (wire for hanging, framed with wire, free-standing 3D, pedestal needs, etc.)
Important: Hanging & Display Requirements
To help us install the show professionally and to maximize wall space:
- Wired hanging is strongly preferred for all 2D artwork.
- Wire allows secure, flexible wall installation and better curatorial flow.
- Sawtooth hangers are discouraged.
- We have a limited number of easels, and pieces with sawtooth hardware may need to be placed on easels instead of hung.
- Wall placement is not guaranteed for non-wired work.
- 3D work:
- Must be stable and ready for display.
- Please indicate if your work requires a pedestal or special support.
- Acceptance is space permitting.
Early Submissions = More Exposure
Artists who submit before the deadline—and especially early in the window—will have priority for:
- Social media highlights
- Web and newsletter features
- Inclusion in the official press release for Visual Music
Early submissions help us promote both the show and the participating artists more effectively.
